Leading the Way to the Italian Countryside

This is the quote on the front of my "Host's Handbook" for JOHNNY CARINO'S. I think it's quite a nice bit o' advertising. Of course, I am biased. . .

So I didn't get outta bed til 1100 and I did NOT feel like doing anything. I browsed the internet and then hopped in the shower around noon. I ate lunch (leftover mac and cheese) and watched four episodes of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (I'm now into season 3). During the final two episodes that I watched, I was working on some math homework. Sooner than I could say "This inequality makes less sense than the last one," it was 300 and I had to get ready for WORK!

I got dressed in my snazzy outfit (long-sleeved black dress shirt, black slacks, black socks, and my cool - not really - non/slip shoes) and left around 340. I was there a bit early, but it didn't matter, as there were already A LOT of people standing outside the restaurant. It helped my nervousness that they all looked just like me :) We were ushered inside after a quick dress code check - I'm used to those ha ha - and were like sardines for a good hour or so. The restaurant looks crazy awesome inside! I freakin' thought I was in Italy! They introduced the VIP's of the place and finally sent us to our respective areas: Chefs in one room, Hosts and Table Tenders in another, and Servers and Bussers in the main room. We discussed a few things for about an hour and then we were sent on our way. Two hours for a brief meeting isn't bad. My schedule for the next four days is rather hectic. I'm working 400-930 on Thursday and Friday and 500-930 on Saturday and Sunday. That's 20 hours roughly of work! Makin' Bank!

I like the crew and the setup. I'm excited to get going, but just as nervous as excited, so there you go. I'll have more JOHNNY CARINO'S updates over the next week, as it will be my life. You may even get some inside information (like what really tastes the best and such). You'll just have to tune in to find out.

I came home and played basketball outside with the little bro for awhile. We had fun and didn't fight once - this is a miracle! It was finally dinner time around 730 and then it was homework time. I couldn't get myself started til 900 (good ol' procrastination) and Heather called. I talked to her for awhile (she was walking back to her apartment from a college church group thingy) and then I finally got to work. I've just recently finished my Math (and I'm still behind technically) but I have to start studying for my History exam, which is SUPER important. I had to blog, though - You see, I care about you that much!

I hope you had a good day, and I'll blog at ya later - - -
